"The Diocese of St. Augustine has neither investigated nor approved the factual or theological content of the death experience of Father Jose Maniyangat. "
On April 14, 1985 Father Jose Maniyangat was involved in a motorcycle accident and had a life after death experience.
Father Jose accompanied by his Guardian Angel visited Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven. During his time in heaven,
Father Jose received a special message from God and the gift of healing.
Since this time Father Jose has traveled to major cities of the United States and countries overseas to conduct
charismatic retreats and Eucharistic Healing services. Many miraculous healings have occurred at these services.
Those who are looking for spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical healing are invited to attend the
Eucharistic Healing service.
The Eucharistic Healing service is the first Saturday of each month. It begins at 5:00 p.m. with Holy Mass, followed by
an hour of Eucharistic Adoration, and then the Healing Service.
"
Every Friday at 10:00 a.m. Holy Mass is celebrated by Father Jose Maniyangat in the hospital chapel.
Those who are too ill to attend Holy Mass in the chapel are brought Holy Communion.
If Father Jose pastoral duties prohibit him from celebrating Holy Mass, the Eucharistic Ministry Service is conducted by Mr. Kenneth Cochran Sr.
Father Jose Maniyangat is the Chaplain of the Florida State Prison in Starke, the Union Correctional
Institution in Raiford and the Baker County Jail.
Holy Mass is celebrated at the Union Correctional Institution at 1:30 p.m. each Sunday.
Father Jose and parishioners Dale Recinella and Ken Cochran visit the inmates of these correctional
institutions and provide religious instruction through the program Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
(RCIA) which is the process by which Non-Catholics who are interested in joining the Catholic Church
are given the opportunity to learn more about the Catholic faith. This has resulted in many prisoners
being received into the Catholic church and others returning to their faith.
