RCIA
Ministry
Rite
of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which Non-Catholics who are interested in joining the
Catholic Church are given the opportunity to learn more about the Catholic
faith.
This
process begins in September of each year. At
the Easter Vigil each Catechumen (not baptized) receives the sacraments of
Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist.
Each candidate (already baptized) receives the sacraments of Confirmation
and Holy Eucharist.
RCIA
classes are held at St. Mary’s Church each Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. and
each Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the prison chapel at Raiford.
The RCIA Coordinator
is Kenneth Cochran Sr.
