Prison Ministry

Father Jose Maniyangat is the Chaplain of the Florida State Prison in Starke, the Union Correctional Institution in Raiford and the Baker County Jail. 

Holy Mass is celebrated at the Union Correctional Institution at 1:30 p.m. each Sunday.

Father Jose and parishioners Dale Recinella and Ken Cochran visit the inmates of these correctional institutions and provide religious instruction through the program Rite of  Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) which is the process by which Non-Catholics who are interested in joining the Catholic Church are given the opportunity to learn more about the Catholic faith.  This has resulted in many prisoners being received into the Catholic church and others returning to their faith.
